The Hungry Cities Partnership hosted a workshop in Waterloo, Canada on Migration, Food Security and Crisis Management in the Gulf, featuring lead researchers in the field of migration and food security. The workshop discussed some of the most recent studies on the changing dynamics of labour migration to the Gulf from Asia and Africa. The workshop has a sub-focus on gender and the food security of migrants and their dependants in the context of crisis management during COVID-19.
