Veronica Mwangi is a Tutorial Fellow at the Department of Geography, Population and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her research interests are in the areas of food systems and food value chains, rural and urban systems, food security and poverty. She holds a PhD in Economic Geography from the University of Nairobi. She held research fellowships at the Center for Development Research (ZEF) Bonn; and at the University of the Fraser Valley as a Queen Elizabeth Scholar. Veronica has worked as a PhD researcher in a multidisciplinary project on food systems in Kenya and Bolivia. Her thesis focused on analyzing agro-food value chains and their effect on food security and poverty among participating producers. She has authored and co-authored five peer-reviewed articles.
