Kathleen Anangwe

Kathleen Anangwe is a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Women’s Studies at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. She is a development sociologist whose area of research and interest includes social inequalities, particularly relating to gender disparities and nutrition gaps within families and communities; and urban food systems as outcomes of social stratification and globalization. Her other interests include women’s rights, collective behaviour and social movements as activism. She is a member of the Bioethics Society of Kenya and the International Sociological Association (ISA).
